Undoubtedly two of Greece’s loveliest islands, Kefalonia and Ithaca have justifiably become a choice holiday destination in recent years. Their overwhelming natural beauty has been discovered by visitors from all over the world who keep coming back.
Kefalonia, the larger of the two islands, gained worldwide fame as it provided the backdrop for the film “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” , which was filmed on location on the island. Ithaca on the other hand is the land of Homer’s Odysseus and the island’s name itself has become synonymous with “homecoming”.
